Secretariat captured my imagination at the age of 14 and continues to inspire me to this day. In my generation everyone knew who Secretariat was even if they were not racing fans. Throughout his brief but explosive career he was an overpowering personality and his impact on the sport of horse racing has been impressive.  Long after his untimely death in 1989, Secretariat remains the standard by which horses are judged. I treasure the articles in The Times, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated and other publications that he graced, they bring back many warm memories of the horse everyone loved and admired. 

Note: Originals are shipped framed and will be framed per artist's choice. I will select a frame and matting that serves to complement and enhance the original drawing. Shipping your selection already framed will help to protect the drawing as pastel originals can be easily damaged in shipping. Framed pastels travel better. This option usually tends to be less expensive as I am able to purchase supplies in bulk. The cost and savings far outweigh the cost of shipping.
